BE THE MAGIC!

Happy October to our Amazing Volunteers!

Since our Field Launch on September, we’ve knocked on hundreds of doors, written a thousand postcards, and given out loads of campaign materials to get the word out about Lisa!

Now we’ve got a month to go until Election Day, so we need you more than ever! Can you commit to signing up for at least one canvas, literature drop, or postcard party this month? We can’t do this final stretch without you!

We’re honing in on a rhythm for field activities this month, so here’s what you can expect:

  • Every SATURDAY & SUNDAY: Door-knocking! If you don’t want to knock doors, but would be willing to pass out campaign literature, that’s great too! Come to a weekend canvas and we’ll put you on the lit drop crew.

  • Every WEDNESDAY: Literature dropping! We’ll drop lit at doors Lisa is planning to knock the following weekend.

  • Every THURSDAY: Phone/Text Bank & Postcard Party! Join us at hosted Thursday evening events and do the outreach of your choice! Terrible hand-writing but you love making phone calls? Phone banking is for you! Hate talking on the phone but can type texts faster than a teenager? We’ll put you on Text banking. Choose your own adventure! Dinner provided.

Do these events not work for your schedule? No problem! We can give you a list to door-knock, lit drop, call, text, or write postcards to on your own time! Just drop us a line at [email protected] or 503.383.9677 and we’ll get you set up.

Upcoming Volunteer Events:

  1. Wednesday 10/2: Drop Literature in Hayhurst from 2-4pm. Meet at Pendleton Park.

  2. Saturday 10/5: Canvas in Garden Home from 1-3pm. Meet at the Garden Home Rec Center.

  3. Sunday 10/6: Canvas in Nob Hill from 10-12pm. Meet at Couch Park.

  4. Wednesday 10/9: Drop Literature in Linnton from 2-4pm. Meet at the Linnton Community Center.

  5. Thursday 10/10: Phone/Text Bank & Postcard Party from 5:30-8pm. Location TBD.

  6. Saturday 10/12: Canvas with Sunrise Movement PDX & Mitch Green near Gabriel Park from 11am-1:30pm. Signup Link Coming Soon!

There is NO experience required to join a canvas. We’ll always give you everything you need on the day of (including water and snacks!)

  • Follow on Instagram @lisafreemanfordistrict4 and post on Social Media - you’ll find graphics, photos, videos and more in the Media Kit!

  • Ask your friends, and neighbors to donate $5-$20.

  • Sign up to knock doors, Text Bank, or distribute literature.

  • Display a sign in your yard or window.

  • Spread the word about Lisa at local events!
