Happy Birthday Lisa!

Hello friends, family, comrades, neighbors, volunteers, fellow Portlanders…

It’s Lisa’s Birthday week - she’s 44 TOMORROW - and what a week it’s already been. We kicked off the field phase of the campaign with a party on Saturday, attended the biggest D4 forum yet (thank you NW Examiner), had a Mercury Interview, welcomed a new team member to the staff, and are excited about candidate shuffle dating tonight!

All we have us! We are the magic.

Before we get to our weekly “deepdive” - check out this practice ballot —>

It’s fun and you can rank Lisa #1 in D4! It actually has real world impacts - Portland is Possible is using results to decide who will get invited to their forum. So please participate! It’s fun! Text the link to your friends.

Ok I’m handing it over to our amazing volunteer Jacob next:

Hello from the heart of District 4! Lisa’s campaign is heating up. The hard work to reach individual voters is in full swing. And she needs your help to reach voters throughout her District.

Lisa has made the courageous decision not to accept donations or endorsements from the fossil fuel industry or police unions. She also isn’t expecting to benefit from independent expenditures, unlike political insiders. She’s running her campaign on her terms and with her personal integrity as the centerpiece.

Lisa qualified for matching dollars through the City of Portland’s small donor program by receiving donations of at least $5 from 250 individual Portlanders. For donations up to $20, she gets a 9 to 1 match. That means that your $20 contribution turns into $200 through the magic of public campaign financing!

Lisa is still working to max out available public matching dollars, so please-give her campaign $20 (or $44 for her birthday!!!). If you’ve only donated $5 so far, now is a great time to level up your support. Your donation goes directly to voter contact. She is running a campaign with one paid staffer (and some very hardworking volunteers) who is dedicated to mobilizing the team so Lisa can connect with as many individual voters as possible. Your matched contributions pay for things like campaign literature, lawn signs that raise awareness of Lisa’s name throughout District 4, print and digital ads, and also boring things like compliance and access to the voter action network .

There are 30 candidates running for 3 seats in District 4.

Your individual matched contribution will multiply our volunteer power, amplify our outreach, and make the difference in Lisa’s race.

Join our grassroots community of small donors and mobilized volunteers! Donate and volunteer today - your $20 becomes $200. Every dollar makes a difference. Together, we will get Lisa to City Hall!

In solidarity, Jacob
